We are one of the very few packrafting guiding companies in the world, offering guided outdoor adventure packrafting trips in the New Zealand since 2012. We offer highly personal , very unique and exclusive outdoor adventures leaving the crowds behind.
A packraft is a mix between a kayak & a raft, it is stable and behaves a bit like a raft but you paddle it like a kayak and it is so much lighter. Average weight of our boats is only 2.5kg.
Our backyard: White Water Rafting, Sea Kayaking, Riverboarding, Conyoning, Scube Diving or the countless great areas around New Zealand: Mount Aspiring National Park & Wanaka, Fiordland National park with Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, Queenstown with the Shotover River..and so many awesome tracks: The Kepler Track, The Routburn Track, The Milford Track,The Dusky Track,The Hollyford & Pyke and the list goes on and on.
What are we going to do ? Spending time on the water usually meant no or very little walking/hiking or lets go for a walk / hike means missing out on all the cristal clear water action and hidden canjons.
Packrafting, combining the 2 activities will get us on the rivers, lakes, fiords & ocean and also on those awesome hikes around the country. The concept is simple, the gear is light once you have experienced it you will look at maps in a different way given the fact that you can go places and do routes "normal" Hiker or Kayaker would not be able to do. Welcome to Packrafting New Zealand
Our small team is passionate about what we do, the outdoors & packrafting and we would love to take you out with us on one of our journeys into the wild, discovering new possibilities and corners of New Zealand.
From day trips just around the corner to multi day trips deep into the wilderness we offer a range of awesome outdoor experiences. We can cater for absolute beginner, who is just getting started to the seasoned packrafter.
We offer exciting packrafting trips to the general public as well as instruction and excursions for non-profit community groups.
We are committed to introducing Packrafting to NZ communities by offering non-profit's such as schools, government institutions, and other community groups instruction, guided trips, and equipment at cost. In 2015/2016 in our first year of expansion to the Fiordland region, this program was participated in by DOC staff in Te Anau and the year Rec. Skills class from Fiordland College. We hope to reach more schools throughout Southland and Otago this upcoming year.
